LaCarr is a creative playground a studio complex, where artists, songwriters, producers and musicians intersect with one and each other. Our ambition and our philosophy are to create the music that we like and believe in, and most of all we’d like to have fun doing it.
Our intention is to write and music for the global market with established artists but also develop brand new trademarks for the music industry in joint venture with our partner in crime aka dogmatic records.
How it all started:
LaCarr was founded in 1999 by producer/songwriter Douglas Carr and artist manager Lasse Karlsson.
Douglas Carr came from production collective CHEIRON were he just made history by producing the debut album of Ace of Base together with Denniz Pop. The album was due to become the best selling debut group in the world with more then 23 million copies. The Album reached the top 10 Billboard single charts in USA with 4 singles and topping the album chart for weeks. Lasse Karlsson was at the time manager for the group.
Jointly they started LaCarr studios a complex in the centre of Stockholm City and still a independently owned company. |
